Richard Nolan-Neylan

A creative photographer based in Sydney.

Richard’s interest in the photographic narrative started while studying fine art, at Seaforth School of Art and design. He then moved to London, where he worked with some of the world’s leading fashion and still-life photographers.

Once setting out on his own, he gained commissions for a large selection of British magazines, national newspapers and advertising clients. Predominantly in the fashion and beauty industries.

The Philosophical, aspect of the way we see objects, places and ourselves greatly interests Richard. This aspect of photography isn’t just part of our cultural world, but plays an integral role in commercial photography as well.

“Can we learn anything from the things we use in everyday life? If you look closely, yes. They ignore us, they mostly outlive us, but they are the secret sharers of our days, as close to us as our spouses, or pets, our bodies, our selves”.
